Families want and need time together during our services to worship and learn. But if you’ve ever spent all of your time feeding cheerios, picking up toys, or just walking the halls - you may be thinking “Why did I come today?” As an option during the sermon time of the 10:30 am worship, children (ages 2 - 2nd grade) will have a new opportunity to discover for themselves the Wonder of Worship. “WOW!” will use Bible stories, songs, puppets, and activities to communicate why He alone is to be worshiped. If you would like to help, or have questions or suggestions, please contact David Vaughn or Cathy Collins.
One of the reasons I love the people of Antioch is their belief in the above verse. For generations, wonderful men and women have stepped forward to teach our congregation’s children in Christian love. This includes me when I was new to Antioch as a young 4th grader. My first Sunday school teacher back then was Peggy Grimes and then Junior was my first teacher on Wednesday night. I remember James Craighead putting up with me for a while too. I love my early teachers and appreciate them even more now that I am an adult. Many of you have taught my three children as they have grown up. You’ve done well, and I thank you for this wonderful blessing.
Promotion day is coming up soon, and we have some opportunities for you to teach our children this coming fall. Please contact me or a department coordinator as soon as possible if you are willing to help.

Children are promoted into the Toddler Department developmentally.
Children are promoted within the Toddler Department from class to class during the three years they are in this department. Birthdates are posted outside classroom doors.
Children are promoted into the Preschool department the last week of August after they turn 3 years old, and they remain in that class until the next "school" year promotion. This insures that the children will have the opportunity to make friends in their school-age group
