3/11 Eddy Yates had a procedure on Monday, and according to Angie, it went well but did not correct the problem completely so they will try medication to regulate his heart rhythm.

3/11 Gloria Sparkman is having an arteriogram on Monday, March 15 at Centennial.

3/10 William Beaird's mother, Dorothy Beaird is in Baptist Hospital for tests on her kidneys.

3/9 Aaron Martinez is scheduled for a heart stress test on March 12 at Veterans Hospital. He has been experiencing chest pains and the family would appreciate prayer.

3/9 Betty Frost is in Southern Hills Hospital and believed to have had a stroke.

3/4 Jane Keeling is home from the hospital.

3/3 Sandra Ladd fell over the weekend and is in Baptist Hospital. She should be moved to rehab this afternooon.

3/3 We have received word that Earl Newbern is being taken to Southern Hills. Update: Junior Grimes reports that they are keeping him in the hospital. We have few details other than he has been vomiting blood and that he fell. 3/9 Update: Earl is in Bethany Healthcare for rehab.

3/2 Helen Field (Jeanne Kaatz’ mother) is in Baptist ICU after a heart attack this weekend.

3/2 Rick Beals had a biopsy yesterday for a tumor in his bladder. They will know results in 2-3 days. 3/4 Update: Rick called to report the good news that the tumor was benign!

3/2 Pam Brashear returned to Southern Hills Hospital with an infection.

3/2 Jane Keeling is in Vanderbilt Hospital after falling on the weekend.

3/2 Tommy Irons requests prayer for a peaceful transition for Fowler Todd who is receiving hospice care and comfort for Mary, Linda, Walker and the grandkids.

2/25 We have received word that Donna Whitesell's daughter, Kimberly Buice was seriously injured in an automobile accident and is in Vanderbilt.

Kimberly is in critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit with head trauma following a crash in Dickson yesterday.

2/18 Mike Pepper son-in-law of Don & Carolyn Perry and and former Antioch member, came thru the bypass surgery OK is now “on the mend”. He is at St. Thomas Hospital.

2/18 Carla Montgomery, friend of Tracy Stoughton, had a heart attack and is only around 42 years old. They will be doing bypass surgery.

2/17 Weldon Rickman is to have an arteriogram today.

2/16 Dr. Henry Farrar (Lee's father) is in St. Thomas hospital. 2/19 Update: Dr. Farrar is still in neuro-critical care at ST. Thomas. He is aware of what is going on and trying to communicate but cannot breathe without the ventilator because of the nature of the injury. They will try to do a trach so he can talk some and be able to communicate his wishes. There is no way to repair the damage that has been done to his c1 and c2 vertebrae so he is paralized from the neck down. His heart rate is very shallow and his blood pressure fluctuates. Lee asks that we just pray for God's will to be done.

2/8 Kolton Sparkman, grandson of Ronald and Gloria is to have surgery tomorrow at Vanderbilt.

2/8 George Dillon, Rodney's father, is under hospice care at Rod's brother-in-law's home.

2/8 Debby Hutchins neice, Amanda Reed is in Vanderbilt Hospital, ICU for surgery to remove a brain tumor.

2/3 Prayer Requests from Teresa Emebunor: Derick Franklin continues to improve. Another cousin, Rob Franklin is in the hospital with a recurrence from a previous condition and is requesting our prayers. Also, Shirley Buchanan’s sister, Deborah Rodgers, will have to have brain surgery. Teresa will let us know which hospital and when.


2/3 Weldon Rickman is in the Decatur County General Hospital with pneumonia. 2/4 Update - Weldon has gone home.

2/2 We have just learned from Peggy Grimes that Sandra Ladd is in Southern Hills and has been there for a few days following a possible stroke. Update:  Sandra is now in Bethany Healthcare.

2/2 Urgent Request - Ronnie Gregory, brother of Trent Gregory and Sherry Wright was life-flighted from Madisonville, KY hospital to St. Mary’s hospital in Evansville for emergency surgery. Please pray for their brother and the safety of their parents as they travel to be with him. 2/10 Update: Ronnie is more alert but still on the ventilator and running a slight fever, but is slowly improving. His kidneys are functioning better, so they have taken him off of dialysis. Please continue to pray for his recovery and parents, Joe and Gail Gregory as they are in Indiana tending to him.

2/2 Pam Brashear is scheduled for surgery on Feb 9 and expects a stay of 5-7 days. Pam would appreciate prayers that all will go well.

1/28 One of our members, David Hammons came forward on Sunday the 17th to ask for prayer and forgivness.

1/26 Update on Derrick Franklin, Teresa Emebunor's nephew. He did not have surgery on Saturday as they expected since he had developed an infection. For the heart surgery, they have to bring in a team of doctors from another hospital. So, as soon as they clear up the infection, they can reschedule the surgical team.

1/20 Garry Frosts' sister-in-law, Felicity Frost, had a stroke this week and is in Stonecrest.

1/19 Ken Monacelli (friend of the Bissell family) began experiencing numbness in his arms and legs Saturday and collapsed early Sunday morning. He is in ICU in a Round Rock, TX hospital and on a ventilator. Preliminary tests point to Guillain-Barre syndrome. His situation is complicated by a genetic life-long immunity condition that has suddenly flared up at the same time. Please pray for healing and patience as Guillain-Barre syndrome typically takes months for recovery.

1/18 Lauren Finley is home and checked out OK following an accident where she was hit by a car.

1/18 messsage from Cathy Hogins: After six long years of battling ALS my sister’s husband (Darren Smith) is in the last stages of this terrible disease. This muscle-destroying disease has now moved to his lungs and diaphragm, making breathing very difficult and his condition very grave. He was in ICU at an Atlanta-area hospital for most of December. He’s now at an acute-care skilled nursing facility. My sister and our family still hope and pray for God’s merciful hand of healing on Darren. However, right now his condition is worsening every week. Daren is in great need of emotional support and a lift for his spirit. It would encourage him greatly to receive an overwhelming number of cards and notes from the Antioch church family. Positive, hope-filled messages will bring comfort and solace to him and Linda as they brave the challenges of each day. 1/13 Bill Oden is in Southern Hills hospital following having a tumor removed yesterday.

1/13 Lori Kolb's sister, Leigh Hale is home following a procedure to identify heart problems. She may need a pacemaker.

1/2 Please pray for Erin Sowards who has been experiencing stomach problems. 1/6 Update: Erin is to have further testing done Friday. 1/13 Update: Erin continues to undergo testing. 1/15 Update: Erin is scheduled for an endoscopy this morning.

12/28 Carson Campbell, the youngest son of Tony and Christie fell down a flight of stairs in their house He has a broken leg and is expected to be in a cast for six weeks. Please pray for his speedy recovery and keep this family in your prayers.

12/23 Tina Beckham reports that Penny Widick is in Centennial Hospital and came through surgery fine. She is staying overnight.

12/16 Larry Green is experiencing problems with his neck and shoulders due to a pinched nerve.

12/16 Tammy Smith’s sister-in-law, Debbi Holleman, developed a problem with her lung and is in ICU at Baptist Hospital. 12/22 Update: Debbi had surgery on Dec 21 and is on a ventilator. Please continue to pray for her.

12/3 Faye Coleman, former member and sister of Betty Newbern is in Vanco Manor Rehab in Goodlettsville recovering from an infection following recent surgery.

12/3 Raymond and Lois Painter are members at Burnett’s Chapel Church of Christ and have requested our prayers for various health concerns for Raymond and their sons, Kevin and Chuck.

12/3 James Adkins, 21 month old son of former members, Soledad and Brian Adkins, has pneumonia and is in the hospital in Mississippi.

12/3 Update on Kolton Sparkman: His leg is healing nicely and he will not have to have surgery. If he continues to heal, he will get a knee cast in three weeks.

12/3 Gretchen Hargrove called after her doctor’s appointment. They believe she has had another small stroke which has impaired her left side somewhat. She has also reinjured her arm.

12/1 Teresa Emebunor's nephew in Atlanta, Derick Franklin, was involved in a serious car accident and is in ICU on a ventilator. He is 40 years old, married, with one son. Teresa has asked that we pray for the Franklin and Martin families. 12/2 Update:  Derrick is scheduled to have heart surgery tomorrow and there is a possiblility that he will have to start dialysis and may face additional surgeries if the heart surgery goes well. Please pray for Derrick and his family. 12/8 Update: Derrick, was not able to have surgery last week due to impaired kidney function. They are hoping to be able to do the heart surgery tomorrow. Please continue to keep their family in your prayers. He is in Grady Memorial Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

11/30 Ayden Gambill, (3 1/2 month old grandson of Iris and Tracy Gambill) is in Vanderbilt Hospital undergoing surgery. The shunt that was placed about a week ago has caused an infection in his spinal fluid, and the shunt is being removed. He will remain in the hospital for a week, then the shunt will be replaced before he returns home. Please pray for the family and everyone involved in Ayden's care.

11/23 Fred (Bud) Hardeman is in Baptist Hospital for chemotherapy treatment for Leukemia. He will be there 10 days to 2 weeks.

11/20 Request from Clancy . . . Please pray for my new friend William. His life has had too much pain. Please pray that he is able to find some excape from his painful life through Jesus. He just needs peace. Please pray for his mother's health, she is ill, her name is Jackie.

10/27 Bob Nash is having outpatient spinal surgery on this Oct 28 at The Center for Spinal Surgery. Expected recovery is 10 days to two weeks.

10/23 Jeff Goforth’s mom, Betty Goforth, is in Baptist Hospital room facing hip replacement surgery. She has other health issues as well which complicate matters. Please keep her and the family in your prayers.

10/22 Ramona Pitt is being discharged from the hospital and expects to be recovering at home until next Wednesday.

10/22 Trish Melton's daughter, Candace Jackson has a mass on the right side of her brain and is scheduled for surgery Oct 29. She is 25 years old.

10/21 David Hammons is scheduled for outpatient surgery October 29 at Baptist North Tower.

10/21 Larry Green requests prayer for a friend, Steven Faulkner who has multiple health issues. Steven's mother, Lucille is also to have surgery Friday.

10/21  Ramona Pitt is being admitted to St. Thomas Hospital – she has had headache, vertigo, and nausea; she is severely dehydrated so they are admitting her to try to figure out what is going on.

10/19 Pam Brasherr is in Southern Hills following emergency surgery.

10/19 Candace Jackson is in Baptist Hospital having tests following a seizure. Update:  10/20 Candace is to go home tomorrow and is scheduled to have surgery next week.

10/19 Paul Sparkman requests prayer for his friend, Mr Jewks, who has multiple difficulties.

10/15 Teresa Emebunor asks us to pray for two friends in Georgia. Carol Martin lives in Atlanta and is facing multiple health problems. Brian Bryant lives in Savannah and is facing back surgery. These are close, dear, friends and Teresa is praying for patience for herself as she really wants to be there with them but must stay here and recuperate. She is improving though and feels like she is on the upswing.

10/9 Junior Grimes' surgery on Thursday went well and he is currently in Baptist Hospital. He might get to go home later today if his pain is under control.

10/8 Teresa Emebunor reports that she is recovering slowly but is making progress. She wants us to add Barbara Buchanan to our prayer list. She has been having headaches lately and they cannot discover the reason. Also, please add Consuela Davis, a friend of Teresa’s, who is in Baptist Hospital after having an aneurism.

10/7 Junior Grimes is scheduled for shoulder surgery tomorrow.

10/6 Sam Woodroof has been moved to Bethany Health Care for rehab. He will be there at least 20 days.

9/25 Update on Teresa Emebunor: William called to advise that Teresa had surgery yesterday and that it went well. He said that they did find a mass and would be testing but at this point they don’t know if it is cancer or not. He said that they would be doing treatment as though it was.

She is in Baptist and he doesn’t know when she will be able to go home. 9/29 Update: Her blood count is back up and there is no sign of cancer. She had developed a staph infection which they are treating with antibiotics and are waiting for test results to see if that is under control. 9/30 Update: Teresa will be in the hospital through Friday at which time she will move in with the Beairds for 8 weeks while she recuperates.

9/24 Sharon Hicks got a great report from her doctor today and will be able to have less frequent check- ups!

9/24 We have received word that Bobby Brown is doing well after an arteriogram.

9/23 Sarah Denami's son, Gary Denami in in Vanderbilt with kidney failure. Her granddaughter, Becky Denami is in Mid TN Medical with cancer. Please keep this family in prayer.

9/22 Victoria McLuckie has tested positive for H1N1. With Rodney’s increased susceptibility, they have requested our prayers.

9/17 Teresa Emebunor, daughter of Shirley Buchanan, is in Baptist Hospital intensive care. Please keep Teresa and family in prayer. 9/22 Update: Teresa is expected to have surgery Wednesday or Thursday.

9/15 We received a request from Patricia Rickman to pray for baby, Lillie Anna. Lillie Anna was born with health concerns and may require surgery.

9/10 James Swafford is recovering at home after surgery 2 weeks ago. He will probably be home for about 2 more weeks before coming back to church.

9/10 We have learned that Debby Hutchins has had a stent inserted due to a blocked artery. We understand that she is doing well but not yet in a room.

9/9 Nicholas Owensby is scheduled for a tonsillectomy on Monday, September 14 , 8:00 am at Vanderbilt Childrens Hospital.

9/1 Sam Woodroof is in Veteran’s Hospital.

8/31 Leon Church is out of surgery and expects to be at Baptist North for 2-4 days before moving to rehab.

8/27 Request submitted via the web from Carolyn who would like us to pray for Barb in Omaha who has lung cancer and is to have surgery next week. Carolyn would also like for us to pray for hereslf that she will quit smoking for good.

8/27 Leon Church's surgery is scheduled for Monday, August 31 at 7 am at Baptist North Tower.

8/21 Georgette Norman, Una & Neil Jordan’s daughter-in-law, is in Centennial Women’s Center, room 3231, being treated for Ovarian Cancer. Please remember her in your prayers.

8/21 We received a prayer request from one of our brothers in El Salvador who is a close friend of Remberto Carranza, the preacher we support. His wife is hospitalized and he requests prayer for their family.

8/18 Harriett Hammons has requested our prayers for her father, G.W. Head, who is undergoing procedures related to Parkinson’s Disease.

8/12 Tommy Irons had outpatient surgery today at Baptist and should be going home later today.

8/11 Kelly Creel's mom, Nelda, had a heart attack over the weekend. She is presently in Harrison, AR waiting on results from tests. Depending on those results she may be moved to Fayetteville, AR. Please keep Kelly and the family in your prayers while they wait for results and further information.

8/10 Sherry Birdwell’s father, J.T. Mullican, suffered a heart attack on Sunday and is in Baptist Hospital CCU awaiting an arteriogram. 8/11 Update: Mr. Mullican is expected to have heart surgery this morning. Update 8/11: Quadruple bypass surgery was performed this morning and he is doing well at Baptist Hospital.

8/6 Patty Thedford's uncle Sam is in St. Thomas after a heart attack. 8/10 Update: Patty's uncle has gone home.

8/4 Gloria Owensby's father, Howard Haynie is in St. Thomas Hospital after a fall over the weekend.

8/2 Bud Hardeman is home and waiting for a bone marrow donor.

8/1 Joe Cox requests we pray for God to purify Carey's heart and for the salvation of Mandy and Lory.

7/31 Debby Hutchins reports that Sherry Griffith will have surgery next Friday to repair a torn ligament in her ankle. Please pray for Debby and for Sherry as Sherry heals and Debby helps to care for her.

7/30 Please pray for those who left ABC early due to illness or injury. Dallas Cropper broke his arm but is home and doing well. Donovan Patterson went home with the flu but is recovering nicely. Michelle Clark sprained her ankle and went home to recuperate. Visit the ABC page for more updates.

7/30 Leon Church is sceduled for surgery on Monday morning, August 3rd at Centennial Hospital and expects that he will be there for about 4 days and then have some time in rehab. 8/1 Update:  The surgery location has changed to the Center for Spinal Surgery at Baptist North Tower. Please note that they will probably have him listed under his first name, James. 8/3 Update:  The surgery has been postponed pending further testing.

7/29 Donna Sullivan will have out-patient surgery on her neck on Thursday, August 6.

7/27 Rod Dillon had a biopsy done this morning and the results showed a malignant tumor which was removed. They are unsure if it has spread to more tissue in the bladder. A biopsy of that tissue was taken and we should have results in a few days. Please keep Rod and family in your prayers. 7/29 Update: The test confirmed cancer and Rod is to undergo 6 weeks of chemo.

7/26 Sheryl Friend's mother, Irene Cannon is in the hospital in Fairmont, WV, following a mild heart attack. 7/27 Update: Sheryl reports that there was more damage to the lower lobes than they had expected. She expects her mom will be in the hospital for a few more days before being released with a strict diet, then return in a couple of weeks to have a pacemaker/defibrillator implanted, then rehab.

7/22 Debby Hutchins emailed us that Donald Brashear is in Southern Hills after possibly having a heart attack. Keep Pam, Donald and Melissa in your prayers.

7/14  Lura Anderson, Carolyn Reeves’ mother, is in St. Thomas Hospital with issues concerning her heart, shingles, and possibly other issues. Update 7/15 - Mrs. Anderson has been discharged from the hospital.

7/13  Bud Hardeman, son in law of Betty Frost and brother in law of Garry Frost, is in Baptist Hospital, receiving chemotherapy for Leukemia. He will be there another 2 weeks.

7/13 Shirley Thurman's grandson, Marshall Thurman, is on his way to Sumner Medical Center and possibly Vanderbilt children’s after that with a head injury from a diving board accident. Update: Marshall has regained consciousness and should make a full recovery. 7/14 Update: Marshall is home and doing well. He still has a headache but there does not to be any serious damage.

7/13 Please pray for Josh & Jenny Cunningham who are friends of an Antioch member. Jenny has toxemia and baby Max is due in 3 weeks and will probably be born prematurely.

7/10 Our youth and several adults are leaving tomorrow for Canada to work with the Fennel Avenue Church of Christ. They'll be helping to conduct a VBS. Please keep Andrew Sowards and his team in your prayers. They will return on July 25th. 7/10 The Central America missions' team arrived safely and have already had a good visit with Remberto’s family. Lisa will be teaching a ladies class this afternoon and the group have several Bible studies scheduled. Wayne Russell will be speaking tomorrow with Lisa translating and Jim is scheduled to speak on Sunday. Raquel will be teaching children’s classes. Thank you for your continued prayers. She will try to check in with us on Monday. 7/13 Update from Mark Steel: The Central America group is doing well. No one has gotten sick, Jim is a natural driver on foreign soil (interpret that as you wish), and they have had a good stay in El Salvador. Monday is a travel day to Nicaragua where they will visit with the La Paz Centro church and return to Nashville on Thursday.

7/10 Summer Waggoner had a appendectomy and is recovering at home.

7/9 Jeff Talley's mother, Marie Talley, has had a series of heallth issues with several lengthy hospital stays. She is currently at home waiting to go to the Mayo Clinic for treatment for a colon problem which causes a lot of pain. J

7/7 John McCoy's mother, Medeline McCoy, is in the Weirton West Virginia Medical Center with a need to have her ongoing health issues monitored. John has requested our prayers.

7/3 Riley Kate was born to April and John Kuykendall on July 2nd at 8:33 PM at Centennial Hospital. She was delivered at 28 weeks and weighed 2 pounds, 1 ounce and is on a ventilator. Please keep April, John, Riley Kate, and new grandparents John and LaRita Kuykendall in your prayers.

7/2 Jim Stone is at Vanderbilt Stallworth until Tuesday then will move Green Hills Rehab or Bethany Healthcare. His health is not good at this time and Joan requests our continued prayers. Update 7/8 Jim is in Vanderbilt and not in rehab.

7/2 Donald Brashear's nephew, Brandon, who was in a bad car accident in November has been returned to St. Thomas Hospital. He has a fever and still has water on the brain and his kidneys aren't functioning properly.

7/1 Our group going to Central America, Jim Taylor, Lisa Steele, Wayne Russelll, & Raquel Ramirez, has made a change of plans because of the political unrest in Honduras. We will leave on Thursday, July 9th for El Salvador and Nicaragua and visit our missionaries in those two countries, Remberto Carranza and Orlando Ruiz.  We plan to mail gifts to Lupita and her family in Honduras and look forward to visiting them in the near future.

Leave Thursday, July 9 for El Salvador and Nicaragua, Delta flight 1523 at 6:40 a.m. Return Wednesday, July 15 on Delta flight 1032 at 8:09 p.m.

7/1 Rod Dillon had a procedure done today which went well but more testing will be done later. He is recovering at home.

7/1 LaRita & John Kuykendall's daughter-in-law, April, is having complications with her pregnancy. She is in Williamson Medical Center and will be there until the baby is delivered and then moved to Centennial. She is 28 weeks and the doctor said they would deliver the baby by C-section at 31 weeks. The baby is a girl and will be named Riley Kate. John, Jr. is currently in South Carolina in training to go to Kuwait in September. He will be home this weekend and will go back to S.C. for 2 more weeks. Please pray for April's health and that she will not deliver too early, and for the rest of the family as well.

6/30 Please pray for Sherry Haught's two nieces who are in Hondouras on a mission trip. The country is experiencing political unrest.

6/25 Oliver Claypool has been admitted to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital with a high fever.

6/25 Ken Bissell's father, Pete Bissell, has rapidly spreading cancer and is being placed in a hospice program. Please keep this family in your prayers.

6/24 Gary Frost and The Pates (Bruce & Dale) responded to the invitation on June 21, requesting the prayers of their church family.

6/23  Janice Green greatly appreciates all of the expressions of sympathy during this time of grief on the passing of her mother. The church family have been quite supportive and she is thankful for the support and encouragement.

6/22 June Perry’s 14 year old granddaughter, Bethany Taylor, has been in the McMinnville Hospital for several days with appendicitis. She is scheduled to be released today.

6/22 Becky Denami, wife of Sarah’s grandson Anthony, gave birth about 4 weeks prematurely earlier this month so that she could begin treatment for Colon and Ovarian Cancers. The baby is doing well and Becky is receiving chemotherapy treatments. Please pray for Anthony,Becky, their two daughters, and their families.

6/17 Bill & Thelma Cole are both home from the hospital and doing better. Thelma still requests our prayers.

6/16 Gail O'Neill, Ramona Pitt's mother is in Lakeshore Wedgewood for rehab, following a stay in Centennial Hospital. Update 6/19: Mrs. O'Neill is expected to be in Lakeshore Wedgewood for about 6-8 weeks.

6/3 Update on Charlie Houser From Jane Houser: "Charlie came home from the hospital today. We thought it might be a little longer, but we are glad to be home. He will have 4 weeks of IV (infusion) antibiotic twice a day. Please pray that I can handle this! The first of the meds was delivered after we got home and we are waiting for the home health nurse to come and show us how to do it. Pray that this takes care of the infection and he doesn’t have problems again. He is a little weaker form 4 days in bed, but we hope he will get back to where he was quickly." 


6/2 Bill Cole is in Southern Hills hospital with an infection in his foot. He may have surgery tomorrow. 6/2 Update: Bill will not have surgery tomorrow.

6/2 Bud Clymer is out of surgery and in Williamson Medical Center. He should be there until Friday. Betty said that it went well.

5/27 Sherry Griffith called to report that Debby Hutchins should be going home tomorrow.

5/27 James Craighead has been admitted to St. Thomas Hospital and we anticipate him being there a few days. Judith reports that his potassium level was high and they will be trying to find out what is causing that. 5/28 James remains in St. Thomas where they are doing various tests.

5/26 Fred (Bud) Hardeman, Betty Frost's son-in-law, is in Baptist Hospital with a recurrence of leukemia He has finished chemo therapy but is suffering from the effects.

5/26 Bethany Barber, one of the bridesmaids from Megan Diggs' wedding, had a seizure on the way home from the wedding. and is on a ventilor and in a drug induced coma. She is in the hospital in Jackson, TN until she becomes stable when they will life flight her to Vanderbilt. Please continue to keep Beth in your prayers.

5/26 Bud Clymer will have hip replacement surgery on Tuesday, June 2 at Williamson Medical Center in Franklin.

3/31 Ed White (Jane Houser's brother) has melanoma that has spread. He is in Vanderbilt and about to begin radical chemotherapy.

3/31 Tracy Stoughton reports that Connor "is in surgery right now and they told them 2-3 hours. Please keep little Conner and his surgeons in your prayers this morning. It is going to be a hard week on Conner and his parents. He cannot eat anything but clear liquids for the week until his intestines show signs of waking up! You can imagine not being able to give a baby his milk. Please also pray specifically for no infections. This surgery has a high rate of infection and we want it infection clear!"  Update at 10:21 am: Conner is out of surgery and all went well. Now we pray for quick healing, no infection or pain for Conner while he waits.

 

3/28 Weldon Rickman has been admitted to St. Thomas Hospital. 3/31 Update - Weldon is being treated for a drug interraction and possible internal bleeding. It had been posted earlier that he might go home today, but Junior Grimes has visited him and said that he is not ready to go home. 4/1 Update: Weldon is much improved.

3/22 Linda Eller is scheduled to have an outpatient procedure on April 7.

3/20 Update on Ramona Pitt and her mother, Gail O'Neill. Ramona’s knee is improving – still not sure if she will need surgery. Her mother has been discharged from Vanderbilt Rehab and is continuing her recovery at home.

3/3 Gail O'Neill has been moved to a step-down unit at Vanderbilt where she will probably stay throught the weekend before being moved to a regular room. Her breathing is improved, but she still has pneumonia. Please continue to pray for her and her daughter Ramona Pitt. Ramona is having pain in her knee and is to have a third injection this week. 3/4 Update: Gail O'Neill has been moved to Vanderbilt rehab.

3/3 Linda Eller is scheduled for an outpatient endoscopy procedure on Thursday.

2/20 Melanie Alexander’s Mom, Peggy Knowles, does NOT need additional radiation, her tumor was a slow-growing kind of cancer that has a low chance of returning and most patients do not require radiation. 2/5 Peggy Knowles is recovering at home and at this point we do not believe that radiation therapy will be necessary.

2/5 Luvayne Jenkins, will be having a medical procedure done on Friday morning around 7 or 8 at St. Thomas. This procedure, similar to an arteriogram, will hopefully correct her fast heartbeat and keep her from passing out. Mr. Jenkins, Deneen’s father is still in Hospice care. Let’s continue to pray for Deneen, Diane and Donna as they care for their parents. Thanks!

2/4 We have received word that LuVayne Jenkins has been taken to the hospital but at this time we do not know which hospital she is in.

2/3 Addison Galaway  is much improved and is being discharged from the hospital this morning.

2/3 Update on Peggy Knowles: They were able to remove the tumor successfully and did not have to break her jaw. The doctors think it is benign, but will be sending it off to make sure. They will know more tomorrow as to how long she will need to stay in the hospital.

1/30 Update from Larry Rozell on his mother, Daisy Wells: "My mother, Daisy Wells, is supposed to be released from Fayetteville hospital today. I am going down from work today, and spend the weekend with her, to observe how she is doing. She has multiple health issues, and is almost 95."

1/29 Jessica Beckham is on her way home from her tonsillectomy and did great!

1/29 Update on Lily Bea Dunaway: Lily Bea won't be going home today. She came off the oxygen for several hours last night but had to go back on. She has to be off the oxygen for 24 hours before they feel comfortable sending her home. Keep praying please.

1/29 Beth Goforth's mother, Donna Coss, will have shoulder replacement surgery at St. Thomas on Feb 11. She will probably be there for 3 days before going to rehab. Please add her to your prayer list.

1/29 Larry Rozell's mother was put back in the hospital late last night in Fayetteville.

1/28 Update on George Dillon. He is at home and on oxygen undergoing radiation therapy to shrink the tumor a little to take some of the pressure off. The cancer is inoperable. The family is requesting our prayers.

1/28 Update on Neil Jordan: He is home and continues to work with the doctors to figure out what is going on. They ruled out blockage to the valves in the heart and are looking at other possible reasons for his symptoms while treating his breathing difficulties with oxygen, breathing treatments, and limiting his activities.

1/28 Update on Janet Newby - She is doing well and will probably get to go home on Friday morning.

1/28 Shirley Scarbrough is home recovering from a foot injury.

1/26 Update Lily Bea Dunaway: Lily Bea is still improving. They have taken the chest tube out and her lungs are working fine. They have taken the vapo therm off and she is just getting oxygen now. She is still on feeding tube, she will be going to a regular room today and at some point they will take the feeding tube out and start with giving her a bottle and then progress to her nursing again.

1/22 Update on Pete Bissell (Ken's father)  "Results from tests show he has non-small cell lung cancer. He is scheduled for more tests on Thursday to determine the extent of the cancer and treatment/surgery options. Please also pray for strength for my mother, Lavern Bissell, as she copes with my father’s health challenges."

1/22 Update on Beth Bailey's father.  "Dad was discharged home yesterday. He is so fortunate and blessed to recover as quick as

he did. No doubt, God was truly watching over him. Thanks again for the prayers, calls & emails during his hospital stay." Beth Bailey

1/21 Neil Jordan will have a procedure at St. Thomas tomorrow morning to check on a heart blockage.

1/21 Jessica Beckham is scheduled to have a tonsillectomy on 1/29 at Baptist hospital. If all goes well she will get to go home the same day to recover.

1/16 Update on Debby Hutchins.  The operation went well; She will probably stay in recovery until she can breath on her own.

1/15 Woody Loden, elder @ Batesville, AR church of Christ, is in St. Thomas Hospital. He is improving but requests our prayers.

1/15 Debby Hutchins has been admitted to Baptist Hospital with chest pains. Update 1/15 Debby will have bypass surgery tomorrow - she has two arteries blocked and one partially blocked. 1/21 Update: Debby may get to go home on Friday.

1/15 Bill Reeves had cataract surgery earlier this week and is recovering well at home.

1/15 Melanie Alexander's mother, Peggy Knowles, will have surgery at Vanderbilt on Feb 2.

1/14 Pete Bissell, Ken Bissell’s father, is to undergo tests either later this week or early next week to check a mass discovered on one of his lungs, found while he was being x-rayed for pneumonia. Please pray for quick recovery from the pneumonia and that tests results will come back negative.

1/14 Sandra Ladd is scheduled to have hip replacement surgery at St. Thomas on Jan 20.

1/13 Tim Freeman is home for about a week.

1/13 Charlie Houser was transferred from the hospital to NHC-Murfreesboro.

1/12 Beth Bailey’s father will be having open heart surgery on Monday morning at the Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. It is very serious because it is a valve replacement and by-pass re-do. His kidney functions are off and the risk factors are very high. Beth and her family would greatly appreciate your prayers.  1/14 Update from Beth: Surgery yesterday was uneventful~Praise to God. Although early this morning dad had difficulty maintaining a normal blood pressure and was having issues w/ bleeding. He went back to surgery this morning for re-exploration of his chest and re-evaluation of his heart function. The surgeon was able to evacuate blood clots that had formed around his heart and was pleased to find that his heart function was not as low as he had suspected. He is in stable condition at this time~ God is good!

Thanks so much for your continued prayers, Beth  1/14 We received another update from Beth and her father continues to do well. The power of prayer is moving. Dad has had an miraculous last 24 hours. The medications to keep his blood pressure normal have been discontinued & the bleeding has subsided. The removal of the breathing tube this morning was a huge hurdle. Plans are to get up in his chair this afternoon~ God continues to answer prayers... On a larger note~ please pray for dads spiritual well being. Pray that he acknowledges the fact that God has been watching over him and working through the surgeons & medical personel to care for him

1/9 Geroge Hoff had surgery today in Baptist Hospital. 1/13 Update: James Craighead reports that George is improving and may get to go home on Wednesday.

1/5 Update on Steve Diggs - Bonnie called to report that Steve’s visit at the doctor’s office yesterday went well and that the doctor is pleased with his healing. They will assess his progress in two weeks. Steve and Bonnie are quite appreciative of your support, encouragement, and prayers during this time. Steve is diligently following the voice and exercise restrictions but is quite anxious to get “back to normal” as soon as possible.
